How it all began…

When my husband and I built our house we couldn’t find any affordable exterior light fixtures that matched the look of our home, at least none that were under $500. The clock was ticking because we couldn’t pass our city’s construction inspection without lights, so we put up the least expensive lights we could find –standard jelly jar lights! We figured we would replace them after passing inspection.

Well…rather than replacing these jelly jar lights, we decided we could create exactly what we wanted and make them so they would go right over the jelly jar lights. Our creation consisted of very attractive metal pieces, some solid and some that were laser cut with a palm tree design, and a bracket on the back which securely fastened them over the existing jelly jar lights. We quickly realized that we had a unique concept and now have a US patent pending. The Slip On Sconce was born!
